<p>The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for measuring image snowfall, which can measure accurate snowfall in case an expensive camera like a CCD camera is not used, or a photographed image is not clear since there is foreign substances on a lens or a camera is shaken, by measuring snowfall using an image photographed later on the basis of a reference value detected from an image photographed in advance. The apparatus of the present invention includes: a snowfall board which is buried on a road and has a reference ruler having scales with a fixed interval and displaying snowfall; a camera which is installed at a fixed distance from the reference ruler of the snowfall board, and photographs an image of the reference ruler; a reference value detection part which detects the darkest value of a bright area and the brightest value of a dark area in a received frame 1 of the image photographed by the camera, and sets a reference value on the basis of two detected values; a height detection part which detects a first scale having a darker value than the reference value by comparing the dark value (scale area value) with the reference value set in the reference value detection part by searching for the scales displayed on the reference ruler of the snowfall board in advance from the bottom; and a snowfall measurement server which stores and analyzes the image in a fixed time interval on the basis of the first scale detected by the height detection part, and computes the analyzed snowfall, snowfall intensity and a numerical value of the snowfall according to a constant time, and stores the computed data.</p> |
