A secondary battery includes a first electrode assembly configured to include a first positive electrode plate, a first negative electrode plate, and a first separator interposed between the first positive electrode plate and the first negative electrode plate, a second electrode assembly configured to include a second positive electrode plate, a second negative electrode plate, and a second separator interposed between the second positive electrode plate and the second negative electrode plate, the second separator having a porosity greater than that of the first separator, the first electrode assembly having high capacity, as compared with second electrode assembly, and the second electrode assembly having high power, as compared with the first electrode assembly, and a case configured to accommodate the first and second electrode assemblies therein.

1. A secondary battery, comprising:
a first electrode assembly configured to include a first positive electrode plate, a first negative electrode plate, and a first separator interposed between the first positive electrode plate and the first negative electrode plate; a second electrode assembly configured to include a second positive electrode plate, a second negative electrode plate, and a second separator interposed between the second positive electrode plate and the second negative electrode plate, the second separator having a porosity greater than that of the first separator, the first electrode assembly having high capacity, as compared with second electrode assembly, and the second electrode assembly having high power, as compared with the first electrode assembly; and a case configured to accommodate the first and second electrode assemblies therein.
