<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyoxyalkylene sterol fatty acid ester and/or a polyoxyalkylene stanol fatty acid ester of a new structure having an excellent chapped skin-restoring effect and a hair damage preventing effect by efficiently acting on the skin and the hair and an external preparation composition such as a medicine, a cosmetic, etc., containing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The polyoxyalkylene sterol fatty acid ester and/or the polyoxyalkylene stanol fatty acid ester are found to have the extremely excellent effect.
