The present invention relates to a holographic display device for outputting computer-generated holograms, and a method for generating holograms. The method for generating the holograms according to an embodiment of the present invention may include the steps of: producing three dimensional image frames including visible and invisible regions over time, by using pixel information extracted from image data; correcting the invisible region of the three dimensional frames included in at least a part of the three dimensional image frames to the visible region by using at least a part of the three dimensional image frames among the multiple three dimensional image frames produced over time; and outputting the corrected three dimensional image frames as holograms.
