PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an axial length adjustable implant for the application in spinal or trauma surgery, which has improved safety of use and improved simplicity of design.SOLUTION: An implant 1 includes: a first member 2 and a second member 3 guided relative to the first member 2 to be movable relative to the first member 2 in an axial direction in order to adjust the overall length of the implant 1; and at least one engagement member 4 that is, in a first configuration, configured to engage the first member 2 and the second member 3 such that the first member 2 and the second member 3 are locked and, in a second configuration, configured to engage the first member 2 such that the second member 3 is movable with respect to the first member 2. The engagement member 4 is secured against disengagement from the first member 2 by an abutment, and the engagement member 4 is a monolithic part. |
