PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide member having a DLC layer on a substrate, where a friction coefficient is reduced in a boundary lubrication region and where an early transfer is performed to a mixed lubrication region.SOLUTION: A slide member 11 has a slide layer 13 over a substrate 12. The slide layer 13 is composed of a soft layer 14 on a surface and a DLC layer 15 on the lower surface side. The soft layer 14 is given a Young's modulus E of 6 to 30 GPa, a hardness Ht of 0.2 to 3.0 GPa, and their ratio value [E/Ht] of 10 to 30. The DLC layer 15 has a hardness Hd of 5 to 60 GPa. |
