PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed battery that can suppress breakage of a case by spark.SOLUTION: A current interruption mechanism 35 interrupts current flow between an electrode body in a case 12 and a terminal at the outside of the case 12 when the inner pressure of the case 12 increases. A positive electrode collector B34 is electrically connected to the electrode body in the case 12. The case 12 has a first side wall 12a and a second side wall which are provided to confront each other. The current interruption mechanism 35 is disposed in proximity to the first side wall 12a. An electrical conductor 51 is secured to the inner surface of a sealing body 13 blocking the opening portion of the case 12, the inner surface facing the inside of the case 12. The electrical conductor 51 is disposed between the current interruption mechanism 35 and the second side wall of the case 12. The distance between the positive electrode collector A32 or the positive electrode collector B34 and the electrical conductor 51 is smaller than the distance between the positive electrode collector A32 or the positive electrode collector B34 and the first side wall 12a.
