<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical controller with a command route compression function capable of obtaining the same command point sequence compression result while successively reading the same command point sequence even when the command point sequence is given forwards or backwards.SOLUTION: The numerical controller including a machining curve creation function includes: command read means 10 for reading a command route formed from a plurality of point sequences and a feed speed command; point sequence compression means 12 that represents the command route formed from the plurality of point sequences with less straight lines or curves; interpolation means 14 for calculating shaft positions for each interpolation cycle so as to move at the commanded feed speed on a moving route on the basis of the command route represented by the straight lines or the curves and the feed speed command; and means (15X, 15Y and 15Z) for driving shaft motors to move to the shaft positions calculated by the interpolation means 14.</p> |
