PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording method by which ink fixability is high and images with reduced graininess can be produced.SOLUTION: Provided is an image recording method including a clear ink application step for applying a resin particle-containing clear ink to a recording medium, and an ink application step for applying a pigment-containing ink so as to at least partially overwrap with the region of the recording medium in which the clear ink is applied, and characterized in that the absorption coefficient Ka of the recording medium with respect to water is 0.3 mL/m-msor less; and the application in the ink in the ink application step is carried out while the viscosity of the clear ink applied to the recording medium is 1.0×10mPa s or more and less than 6.0×10mPa s. |
