<p>The present invention relates to a gesture recognition apparatus which obtains a gesture performed by an operator and generates a command corresponding to the gesture. The invention comprises: a gesture obtaining means for obtaining a gesture performed by an operator; a line-of-sight tracking means for obtaining a movement of the operator′s line-of-sight; a line-of-sight pattern determining means for determining whether the movement of the line-of-sight satisfies a predetermined pattern; a gesture selecting means, if the movement of the line-of-sight satisfies a predetermined pattern, for determining a permitted gesture which allows an input receipt; and a command generating means for generating a command corresponding to the gesture, only when the obtained gesture is a permitted gesture.</p> |
