PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin determination method for determining material of resin for each of kinds of additives contained in broken fragments of plastic resin, and to provide a resin selection device using the resin determination method.SOLUTION: There is provided the resin determination method in which: each of resin pieces constituting each resin piece group is irradiated with X rays, and a difference value being a difference between an X-ray intensity on the low energy side and an X-ray intensity on the high energy side of transmitted X rays and a relationship between the difference value and the X-ray intensity on the low energy side of transmitted X rays are recorded beforehand; an arbitrary resin piece is irradiated with X rays, and a difference value being a difference between an X-ray intensity on the low energy side and an X-ray intensity on the high energy side of transmitted X rays and a relationship between the difference value and the X-ray intensity on the low energy side of transmitted X rays are obtained; and the difference value recorded beforehand and a relationship between the difference value and the X-ray intensity on the low energy side of transmitted X rays are compared with each other, whereby inclusion and kinds of additives in the arbitrary resin piece are determined. |
