The sled (1) comprises a frame (2) and a cradle (4) for receiving a person or a load. The cradle is mounted on the frame so as to pivot around a pivot axis (15) that is substantially longitudinal and is arranged so that the centre of gravity of the cradle is situated below said pivot axis. The sled (1) further comprises at least one left sliding support (3) and one right sliding support (3) mounted on the frame and capable of sliding over a snow covered surface. Hooking members (22) which protrude downwards from the sliding support are designed to dig into the snow and prevent lateral drifting of the sled (1). |
