A DC/DC converter comprises an inverter storing a DC input voltage; a rectifier generating a DC output voltage; a resonate tank; and a controller. The inverter has first and second switches, and also the rectifier. The resonate tank is connected between the inverter and the rectifier. The controller is formed to independently control and adjust each phase and duty cycle of four switches for causing zero voltage switching for each switch as each switch transition. The controller uses an input parameter such as DC input voltage, a target output voltage, and target output current to determine optimal phase and duty cycle of each of four switches. The zero voltage switching occurs, when each switch is transited, and the voltage over the switches is substantially zero for each of the four switches.
|
