PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an immunonutritional composition for inhibiting damage to the immune function during anti-cancer treatment, and achieving the further satisfactory efficacy of treatment.SOLUTION: The invention provides an immunonutritional composition comprising an immuno-enhancing agent and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. The immuno-enhancing agent can preserve the innate immune function, the adaptive immune function, and the normal physiology of immune cells. The immuno-enhancing agent contains glutamine, arginine, or citrulline. The preservation of the immune functions and normal physiology results in a better tolerance and increased efficacy of the anti-cancer therapy and transient augmentation or enhancement of immunocompetence of the immune cell.
