PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation apparatus which can be positioned in a member with a substrate, while preventing non-uniform illuminance distribution from being generated in a main-scanning direction on a document surface, an image reader, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: Three positioning pins 404 (projections), serving as positioning sections integrated (molded) with a light guide plate 403, are inserted in three pin holes serving as light guide plate positioning sections penetrating through a receiving plate. The three positioning pins 404 are formed at three positions (longitudinal center and both ends) on a lower surface of the light guide plate 403. The positioning pins 404 are arranged between light-emitting centers of LEDs 192 so as not to face the LEDs 192. |
