A vehicle information recording device (1) equipped with: a first control device (11) that continuously stores, in a data storage device (13), vehicle information indicating the state of a vehicle equipped with an engine; a first determination device (11) that determines whether the engine has stalled; a second control device (11) that stores engine stall information in a storage unit (13), when the first control device is in the process of storing the vehicle information in the data storage device and the first determination device determines that the engine has stalled; and a second determination device (11) that determines whether the engine has started. When the second determination device determines that the engine has started, and the engine stall information has been stored in the storage unit, the first control device begins storing the vehicle information in the data storage device. |
