<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device which is capable of stopping the occurrence of image defects by surely inhibiting image heating processing before incoming of a tail end of a cleaning web, even when restriction on frequency of image heating processing after detection of a notch by a sensor is artificially released.SOLUTION: A cleaning web 61 is provided with notches 69a and notches 69b spaced in a movement direction. When a frequency of image heating processing reaches 100 after a notch sensor 7 detects the notch 69a, a control unit 110 inhibits image heating processing to sheets. Thereafter, even when the notch sensor 7 is set to a state of not detecting any notch, image heating processing for a sheets is immediately inhibited in response to detecting the notch 69b by the notch sensor 7. The frequency of image heating processing to 100 A4-size sheets is less than a frequency of image heating processing, which corresponds to a distance of movement from the notches 69a to the notches 69b of the cleaning web 61.</p> |
