Disclosed is an integrin ±8ß1-binding antibody that is capable of binding to integrin ±8ß1 originating in multiple kinds of mammals of different species. Also disclosed is an integrin ±8ß1-binding antibody that has an effect of inhibiting the binding of integrin ±8ß1 to a ligand. An integrin ±8ß1-binding antibody capable of binding to integrin ±8ß1 originating in multiple kinds of mammals of different species was acquired. Also an inhibitor for the binding of integrin ±8ß1 to a ligand, said inhibitor comprising an integrin ±8ß1-binding antibody, was acquired.
