Even in the case of a shape formed by integrating a step and a gap inseparably, since the flat face portion (311A) is parallel with the axis of the spindle (12), it is possible to insert the contact block (31) into the gap while the axis of the spindle (12) is kept perpendicular to the direction of the gap, hence it is possible to measure the gap W accordingly.
