<p>The present invention relates to an energy storage system and a method for controlling the same, wherein the system is capable of accurately measuring discharge current by calculating discharge current measurement points according to discharge current frequency. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the energy storage system includes a battery rack, a battery management system, and a power conversion system. The battery management system controls charging and discharging of the battery rack. The power conversion system supplies discharge current of the battery rack to the battery management system at a predetermined frequency. The battery management system calculates measurement points of the discharge current, measures the discharge current at the measurement points, and controls charging and discharging of the battery rack based on the measured current measurement values.</p> |
