A method for changing the display magnification ratio using two fingers suffers a problem that the display magnification ratio cannot be changed with a single hand. With this in view, there is provided a mobile electronic apparatus in which the display magnification ratio can be changed with a single hand as the user's intention is observed. The mobile electronic apparatus includes a display unit, an operation unit that detects an operation via a touch panel, a distance measurement unit that measures the distance between a user and the mobile electronic apparatus as a user distance, and a controller, which controller changes the display magnification ratio of a picture represented on the display unit in response to changes in the user distance caused during the time the detection of a pressing point on the touch panel by the operation unit is going on. |
