PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid fuel in which the initial fire power can be enhanced and a solid fuel amount needed for achieving specified purposes like cooking, temperature keeping, etc. can be reduced. ! SOLUTION: A solid fuel is a solid fuel which has alcohol as a main component, and the solid fuel is configured so that a hole or a notch is formed in a part of a cross-sectional shape in a cross-section in parallel with the bottom surface. The gross area of the cross-sectional shape including the hole or the notch is calculated as the area of the part surrounded by the contour of the cross-sectional shape, while, in a case that the contour of the cross-sectional shape is interrupted, it is regarded that the contour is to continue as it is even at the interrupted part through referring to the contour of the other part.
