On a front bumper (12), a support member (30), which is a separate body to a bumper RF (20), is attached to parts of the bumper RF (20) at both vehicle-width direction ends. The support member (30) extends from both vehicle-width direction ends of the bumper RF (20) towards the vehicle-rear side and the outside in the vehicle-width direction. In addition, the support member (30) is placed so as to adjoin to the vehicle-rear sides of an absorber side-part (54) and a pressure tube side-part (76). Thus, the absorber side-part (54) and the pressure tube side-part (76) are supported from the vehicle-rear side by the support member (30) even when the bumper RF (20) cannot be placed to the vehicle-rear side of a corner part (10A) of a vehicle (10) due to machining restrictions, etc., of the bumper RF (20). Consequently, a reaction force against a pressure tube (72) at a time of collision with a collision object is generated by the support member (30). As a result, it is possible to detect a collision with a collision object in the corner part (10A). |
