Provided is a washing machine, capable of improving cleaning performance. An impeller (24) includes: an outer impeller (100) performing rotation via torque of a driving motor, an inner impeller (200) configured in a freely rotating manner on a mounting platform (150) arranged on the outer impeller (100), and a stopper member (300) limiting the inner impeller (200) to move upwards. The inner impeller (200) is formed of material having a specific gravity less than water, and is provided with a flange portion (233) colliding with an outer peripheral portion (310) of the stopper member (300). Between the outer peripheral portion (310) of the stopper member (300) and the flange portion (233), a space (S) enabling the inner impeller (200) to move a predetermined amount is arranged along the vertical direction.
