PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a back gauge device which can quickly and exactly perform the positioning of a workpiece in a fore-and-aft direction and a left-and-right direction. ! SOLUTION: A back gauge device in a press brake comprises a pair of workpiece abutment members 7L, 7R at a stretch 5 in a fore-and-aft direction which is arranged so as to be freely movable in positioning in a fore-and-aft direction with respect to a bending processing position 3 in the press brake so as to be individually freely movable in positioning, and also comprises workpiece angle positioning parts 13 at a plurality of stage in a fore-and-aft direction each of which comprises, at least at one of a pair of the workpiece abutment members 7L, 7R, a fore-and-aft positioning part 9 which performs the fore-and-aft positioning of the workpiece, and a left-and-right positioning part 11 which performs the left-and-right positioning of the workpiece W in the left-and-right direction.
