<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stable fuel injection characteristics, by a structure superior in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel injection device 10 includes a cylinder 80 defining a pressure chamber 34 at an end part of a nozzle needle 90. In the cylinder 80, a floating plate 100 as a control member is disposed. A recess part 121 is disposed to an end face of the orifice member 50. A projection part 122 is disposed to an end face of the nozzle body 40. An inner circumferential face 123 of the recess part 121 and an outer circumferential face 124 of the projection part 122 are fitted with each other. Thereby, the nozzle body 40 and the orifice member 50 are positioned in a radial direction. The nozzle body 40 regulates a position of a floating plate 100 through the nozzle needle 90. Therefore, the floating plate 100 is arranged at a regular position with respect to the orifice member 50.
