<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor which is usable in a temperature range of the order of 85°C. <P>SOLUTION: A current collector for electric double layer capacitors uses an electrolytic solution which contains a fluorine-containing anion. A slurry for coating layer containing scaly carbon is applied on an aluminum substrate whose moisture content is 30μg/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or less and is dried to form a coating layer, then a slurry for coating obtained by mixing an electrode material, a conductive assistant, and a binder for coating with solvent such as water is applied on the surface of the coating layer, and then, the applied coating layer is pressed with a prescribed pressure to form coating electrodes. These electrodes are disposed oppositely to each other via a separator to manufacture a capacitor element, which is then impregnated with an electrolytic solution containingγ-butyrolactone as a solvent to make an electric double layer capacitor. The slurry for coating layer is prepared by dispersing graphite, carbon black, and an elastomer, as a binder for coating layer, whose coefficient of expansion after 100 hours inγ-butyrolactone at 85°C is 50% or less into water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
