<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for soaking/annealing a Cr-containing high-carbon steel material excellent in productivity. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises: cooling the cast pieces of a Cr-containing high-carbon steel material cast by a continuous casting method once to a room temperature; charging into a heating furnace; heating from the room temperature to a temperature of transformation temperature zone at a heating rate of 60°C/h or less through the control of the temperature of the heating furnace, and isothermally holding at the temperature of transformation temperature zone for 2 h or longer; and then heating from the temperature of transformation temperature zone to a temperature of soaking temperature at a heating rate of 60°C/h or more, which is larger by 20°C/h or more than the heating rate of the previous step. Thereby the soaking/annealing time of the Cr-containing high-carbon steel material can be drastically shortened without spending large investment of facility, rendering massive carbide substantially harmless, and further reducing or preventing the occurrence of flaws such as cast piece crack and surface crack, particularly in the product (steel material), thereby: simplifying care for cast pieces, or the like; raising yield; and improving productivity prominently. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
