PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recorder that uses a water-soluble photo-curable ink composition for duplex printing, to obtain satisfactory printing results.SOLUTION: The ink jet recorder includes: a first aggregating-liquid supply means 12 for applying a first aggregating liquid to a first side of a medium 2 to be recorded; a recording head 13 for ejecting a first photo-curable ink composition to the first side of the medium 2; a first light irradiating means 14 for irradiating the first photo-curable ink composition with curing light; a second aggregating-liquid application means 22 for applying a second aggregating-liquid to a second side of the medium 2, which is opposite to the first side; a recording head 23 for ejecting a second photo-curable ink composition to the second side of the medium 2; and a second light irradiating means 24 for irradiating the second photo-curable ink composition with curing light. According to a printing condition, each of the aggregating-liquid application means 12 and 22 adjusts the amount of aggregating liquid to be applied to the medium 2. |
