PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of industrially hydroxylating inactive hydrocarbon using cytochrome P450 monooxygenase.SOLUTION: The inactive hydrocarbon is hydroxylated by causing cytochrome P450 monooxygenase, dummy molecule, and the inactive hydrocarbon to coexist. The dummy molecule has an end structure capable of binding to a binding part of the cytochrome P450 monooxygenase, and an alkyl chain. The dummy molecule in which at least part of hydrogen included in the alkyl chain is replaced with fluorine is used. |
