<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt conveying device that realizes significant speed-up of the device without using conventional configuration members that hinders the high-speed drive of the belt such as a slide guide member, accurately corrects a position of an endless belt in a width direction; and prevents failure due to twist of the belt so as to perform an accurate slide/skew correction, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In an intermediate transfer body 199, the coefficient of friction between a tension roller 214 and an intermediate transfer belt 200 is made to be a smaller value than the coefficient of friction of the intermediate transfer belt 200 and two rollers (driven roller 213 and steering roller 215) that is provided adjacent each other on the upstream side and the downstream side of the tension roller 214 in the belt conveying direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
