Systems and methods for optimizing muscle development are disclosed. A method includes identifying one or more parameters of a user and force data associated with the user. The force data corresponds to an exercise to be performed by the user. The method further includes generating an exercise program to be executed using an exercise device, and determining a resistance to be applied by the exercise device during execution of the exercise program. The resistance is determined based at least partially on the force data and the one or more parameters of the user.

1. A method of using an exercise device, the method comprising:
identifying, by a processing device, one or more parameters of a user; identifying, by the processing device, force data associated with the user, the force data corresponding to a force measured while the user performed an exercise; generating, by the processing device, an exercise program to be executed using the exercise device; and computing, by the processing device, a resistance to be applied by the exercise device during execution of the exercise program, wherein computing the resistance comprises multiplying the force by a fractional multiplier selected based on the one or more parameters of the user.
