The present invention relates to a method for loading and unloading soft coal using a continuous unloader of a screw method which can efficiently unload soft coal loaded in a carrier using a continuous unloader of a screw method, and can improve work efficiency by preventing an inlet feeder, which is installed on the vertical conveyor of the unloader or an lower end part thereof to conduct excavation, from colliding with the opening, inner wall or bottom of a storage. To realize the purpose, the continuous unloader according to the present invention comprises: a main body part (100); a horizontal conveyor (110) installed above the main body part (100); a vertical conveyor (120) including a screw (123) installed on the fore-end of the horizontal conveyor (110) to be able to rotate; and an inlet feeder (130) installed on the lower end of the vertical conveyor (120). The horizontal conveyor (110) is installed to be able to rotate upward and downward within 18°with respect to horizontality. The vertical conveyor (120) can rotate forward and backward within 30°with respect to verticality. A cutting member (133) composed of three or more blades are installed radially with respect to the axial line of the screw (123) inside the housing of the inlet feeder (130) to be able to pulverize soft coal lumps introduced through an inlet (131). A soft shock absorbing member (135) for absorbing a shock during a collision with the floor of a storage (1) is arranged on the bottom of the inlet feeder (130).
