<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine whether or not a file on a file server is an unnecessary file, and to urge a file owner to erase the file when it is an unnecessary file.SOLUTION: An unnecessary file extraction system 1 includes: an operation log DB 11; an access monitoring part 12 for monitoring file access on a file server 10 by a user, and for recording the history of the file access in the operation log DB 11; a file information DB 13; a citation relation calculation part 14 for, as for each of object files stored on the file server, updating the file information DB 13 by associating a plurality of citation source files used in the case of editing the object file with the object file by referring to the operation log DB 11; a significance calculation part 15 for calculating the significance of the citation source files to the object file; and an unnecessary file determination part 16 for determining whether or not the citation source files are erasable on the basis of the significance of the citation source files and the access history about each object file.</p> |
