1. A method for operating a food preparation device, the method comprising:
storing information about a collection of pre-packaged containers, including one or more food items provided in each container of the plurality of pre-packaged containers; identifying ingredients provided in a recipe; determining, from the collection of pre-packaged containers, a set of containers that can provide a prepared food item of the recipe, wherein determining the collection of food items is based at least in part on comparing the food items of the set of containers with ingredients specified in the recipe; verifying that each container in the set of containers is received in a food preparation device; and controlling one or more aspects of heating or manipulating the food items provided from the set of containers based on the recipe. |
