Disclosed in the present invention is a transmission method for system information, comprising: on the basis of the schedule cycle and repetition times of the first to the Xth system messages among a number N of preset system messages, the base station transmits system messages, namely from the first one to the Xth one in turn (101); wherein, said N is a positive integer greater than 1, and the X is a positive integer greater than 1 and less than or equal to N; the schedule cycle and repetition times of said the first system message are preset; the base station gives notice of the schedule cycle and repetition times of the system messages from the second one to the Xth one through fields of the first system message (102).
