The purpose of the present invention is to improve measurement accuracy when measuring an index for evaluating the swing of a striking implement using an inertial sensor. The inertial sensor (12) is mounted on a golf club (20) by roughly aligning a first axis (X1) of three-dimensional rectangular coordinates in the direction of the shaft (22) of the golf club (20) and the third axis (X3) in a direction parallel to the striking surface (face) of the golf club (20), respectively. The state in which the second axis (X2) of the three-dimensional rectangular coordinates is roughly aligned with a direction parallel to the direction of the intended hit projected onto the ground (G) (first axis (Y1) of the measurement space (S)) is the reference state for the golf club (20). The direction of the first axis (X1) when the golf club (20) is held in the reference state is displayed prior to swinging by an adjustment assistance means (16) so as to allow visual confirmation and posture is adjusted by having the measured person (F) align the shaft (22) with said display. |
