PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head lamp control device and a head lamp capable of suppressing a state that light is not irradiated to an obstacle momentarily while irradiating light to the obstacle so that a driver can visually recognize it.SOLUTION: A head lamp control section 11 controls a head lamp 10 provided to a vehicle, and can control light distribution of the light irradiated from a light source 12. The head lamp control section 11 determines presence/absence of an obstacle ahead of an own vehicle, and the position of the obstacle (S11). When the head lamp control section 11 determines that there is an obstacle, it sets an area including the obstacle as a highlighted irradiation area 100 where the light from the light source 12 is irradiated in a mode different from that of a peripheral area (S12). The head lamp control section 11 controls the light distribution of the light irradiated from the light source 12 so that an irradiation range 110 and a non-irradiation range 120 are included in the set highlighted irradiation area 100 (S13). |
