PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve responsiveness in vehicle start.SOLUTION: A control device 10 for a vehicle is equipped with a camera unit 41 for gathering information ahead of the vehicle. The control device comprises: a brake pedal 32 operated by a driver; a motor generator 14 controlled in a first control state corresponding to vehicle stop and a second control state corresponding to departure; a control unit (forward determination part) 40 determining, on the basis of the information from the camera unit 41, a first forward situation in which departure is limited and a second forward situation in which departure is permitted; and the control unit (vehicle control part) 40 controlling the motor generator 14 by switching from the first control state to the second control state when the forward determination part determines the second forward situation during vehicle stop with the brake pedal 32 operated. |
