The compounds can be used as cardioprotection agents against myocardial infarction induced by ischemia-reperfusion. In one embodiment the compounds are used to treat ischemic cardiac diseases. In the preferred embodiment, the compounds are used to treat and/or prevent myocardial infarction in humans. |
