The present invention relates to a smartphone camera device and a method for generating an image by a multi-focus scheme, which enables a user to acquire a high-quality image which is the same to an image signal photographed by a multi-focus scheme after multiple images having different focuses are combined. The smartphone camera device comprises: a touch panel receiving one among a camera app execution request signal, a photographing mode selection signal, a photographing request signal by a touch of a user; a control unit responding to the camera app execution request signal to execute a camera app to provide multiple photographing modes, responding to the photographing mode selection signal to convert a photographing mode of the camera into the selected photographing mode and then responding to the photographing request signal to output the photographing control signal; a photographing unit responding to the photographing control signal from a control unit to photograph a subject at a constant interval and output at least one image; an image combining unit combining at least one image inputted from the photographing unit to generate one image data; and an image processing unit receiving and processing the combined image from the image combining unit to have clearer image quality to output the image through the touch panel.
