In the present invention, there is disclosed a device for strengthening a swivel clamping plate (2) relative to a machine tool slide (1), wherein the clamping plate (2) is provided with a toothed rim (21) driven by a toothed pinion (34) projecting from each of the pair of drives (3) provided with a brake (32). The drives (3), being fastened on the slide (1), are adapted for generation of mutually counter-rotating motion of the pinion wheels (34), whereby the brakes are backlash-free. |
