A paper-made container, in which it is unlikely to feel the heat at the time of holding the container with a hand and generation of poor appearance due to excessive expansion is prevented, without increasing the thickness of an expanded insulating layer and not resulting in a corresponding deterioration of transporting efficiency, and a method for preparing the paper-made container are provided. The paper-made container of the present invention comprises a container main body consisting of a barrel portion and a bottom plate portion, and an expanded insulating layer consisting of an expanded portion and an expansion-inhibited portion, provided on the side of the outer surface of the barrel portion, in which the expanded insulating layer is formed by heating a thermoplastic resin layer having an expansion inhibiting ink-coated portion, and the ratio of the thickness of the expansion-inhibited portion to the thickness of the expanded portion is 25% or less. |
