SECONDARY BATTERY

Disclosed is a secondary battery which is able to prevent the damage to an active material-non-coated unit and an electrode assembly when coupling the active material-non-coated unit and the electrode assembly through laser welding. The disclosed secondary battery includes: a case with a space formed inside thereof; the electrode assembly accommodated in the space of the case and having a coating unit coated with an active material and an active material-non-coated unit; and a collecting plate including a first collecting plate and a second collecting plate coupled to the active material-non-coated unit. A first protrusion of the first collecting plate and a second protrusion of the second collecting plate are coupled to and interlocked with each other by interposing the active material-non-coated unit, and a boundary surface where the first protrusion and the second protrusion are encountered is formed to be dislocated from a direction of the collecting plate being coupled to the active material-non-coated unit.
