Various embodiments generally relate to techniques for combining full resolution frames arranged in a coding sequence of a motion video and corresponding thumbnail images with compressed video data. An apparatus for compressing video frames comprises a processor component; and a compression component performing to arrange at least one thumbnail frame (T-frame) compressed by the processor component between multiple compressed full resolution frames of the motion video arranged in a coding sequence in the compressed video data, wherein the T-frame includes multiple thumbnail images of the motion video of a compressed form.
