<p>The invention relates to a method for processing a nickel product from nickel- bearing sulphidic raw materials, such as nickel sulphide concentrate or ore. According to the invention, the raw material is leached in atmospheric conditions in an aqueous solution of sodium chloride and copper (II) chloride. The reagents needed for leaching nickel and for processing the products, such as chlorine, hydrogen and sodium hydroxide, are obtained from chlorine-alkali electrolysis that is integrated as a step in the process.</p> |
