1. A thin-film component comprising:
a glass pane; a film structure and a single electrically conductive protection device applied to the glass pane, the electrically conductive protection device continuously extending around the film structure and galvanically connected to the film structure via at least one contact area on a pole of the film structure; and at least one dielectric protection film applied to the film structure and the electrically conductive protection device, wherein a distance between an outside edge of the electrically conductive protection device and an outside edge of the glass pane is smaller than a distance between the film structure and the outside edge of the glass pane, the electrically conductive protection device and the glass pane being so positioned to define a gap between the outside edge of the electrically conductive protection device and the outside edge of the glass pane.
