PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contour-shear vibrator in which further reduction of resonant resistance can be achieved.SOLUTION: A contour-shear vibrator 10 includes a planar crystal piece 20, and electrodes 30a, 30b provided on both sides of the crystal piece 20. The crystal piece 20 has a plate surface 21 obtained by rotating a surface perpendicular to the Z axis about the X axis by a certain angle, a long side 22 consisting of the center line in the X axis direction in the plate surface 21, and a short side 23 consisting of a center line in a direction perpendicular to the long side 22 in the plate surface 21. The plate surface 21 is line symmetry with respect to both the long side 22 and short side 23. The length in a direction perpendicular to the long side 22 is longest at the position of the short side 23, and becomes shorter as approaching both ends of the long side 22. |
