A control unit 31 in the smartphone 3 transmits a remote control code, instructing the AV amplifier 1 to activate, from an infrared transmitter unit 36 using an infrared communication method not passing through the LAN 200, when an NW communication unit 35 receives the AV amplifier activation instruction. !
