PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for preventing chemical fouling in a reverse osmosis membrane.SOLUTION: The system for preventing chemical fouling in the reverse osmosis membrane includes: a reverse osmosis membrane unit 17 having such a RO membrane 17a that regenerated water 18, from which salt content is removed, and concentrated water 19, in which salt content in industrial area waste water 11 is concentrated, are obtained from pretreated raw water (influent water 16); monitoring devices 21A, 21B which are arranged on an influent water line Lfor feeding the influent water 16 to the reverse osmosis membrane unit 17 or on a concentrated water line Lfor discharging the concentrated water 19 from the reverse osmosis membrane unit 17 and used for monitoring whether there is a chemical fouling-causative substance in the influent water 16 or the concentrated water 19; and a chemical supply part 22 being a removal unit for removing in a front flow side the chemical fouling-causative substance from the influent water 16 to be fed to the reverse osmosis membrane unit 17 when the chemical fouling-causative substance is confirmed in the influent water 16 or the concentrated water 19 by monitoring result of the monitoring devices 21A, 21B. The chemical fouling-causative substance is removed from the influent water 16 before the influent water is fed to the reverse osmosis membrane unit 17. |
